Escoda Watercolour Brushes

Escoda Watercolour Brushes are Handcrafted in Spain.  The Escoda Optimo Kolinsky Watercolour Brush, is a premium choice for artists who demand superior performance and refined control.  Made with a blend of male and female Kolinsky sable hairs, these brushes deliver the perfect balance of softness and spring.  Ideal for fluid, expressive strokes and fine detail work, as it holds a generous load of water and pigment, while maintaining a fine point.

Óptimo:  Kolinsky sable hair is one of the perfect brushes for watercolour due to the result of the perfect combination of the best male and female hairs.  It is considered one of the best types of hair for its softness and its natural spring.  It is also valued in acrylic and oil painting to paint portraits or to finalize details of a piece of work.

Aquario:  This natural hair comes from the tail of a squirrel which lives in the region of Kazan, in the center of European Russia.  It is the softest of all natural fine hairs and because of the hairs natural characteristics, it is the best in retaining liquid.  It is the perfect choice for watercolour painting.

Evolution:  Featuring a distinctive ferrule design, the Último Evolution brush offers innovation to the brush industry. An intricate hole pattern within the ferrule allows more water to be absorbed and retained – up to 50% more than a Standard Ultimo round mop brush! With the same absorption as a natural squirrel hair, the Ultimo Evolution delivers on the artist desire for big washes and fine detail without losing the point. Thoughtfully created, the handle contains a flat side to prevent the brush from movement on surfaces.

Versàtil:  The perfect synthetic alternative to the Kolinsky sable. Was designed with versatility as its main feature and really lives up to its name with exceptional snap, superior absorption and fluid retention. It’s excellent for use with watercolour and oil /acrylic, allowing artists to create fine details as well as providing superior performance for colouring large areas and backgrounds.

Último:  An almost perfect imitation of squirrel has been achieved with this artificial hair. Thanks to the special fibre in this Último series, extraordinary softness and a capacity to retain liquids is achieved which is virtually the same as that found in the natural squirrel hair. The Último series could become a synthetic hair benchmark to gradually replace natural hair in the future.

Escoda NATURAL BRUSH SOAP BAR 100g:  The Escoda NATURAL BRUSH SOAP BAR 100g is made with extra virgin olive oil.  Effective for tough brush cleaning, yet gentle enough for hand washing.
